The project involves the renovation and expansion of a long-established restaurant, housed in a Miami-inspired building characterized by clean lines, simple geometric arches, and an aesthetic that reflects its coastal setting. The project sought to revitalize the building through a series of targeted interventions that optimized its functionality and enhanced its key spatial qualities, while preserving much of the existing structure to minimize alterations to the original construction. Among the most significant changes was the structural reconfiguration of the main hall, which made it possible to remove intermediate supports and improve the visual and functional continuity of the space, as well as the comprehensive reinforcement of the upper terrace to enable its full use. In addition, an extension was added to house a new, large-capacity kitchen, equipped to meet the establishment’s operational needs. The series of interventions resulted in a contemporary design that enhances the building’s identity and significantly improves the experience of its users and the surroundings of the Punta del Este port.
